FRENECTOMY

Service description

In the mouth are two places where muscular tissue connects two areas: the labial frenum, which connects the upper lip to the gum area above the upper teeth, and the lingual frenum, which connects the base of the tongue to the floor of the mouth. When the frenums are overgrown, it can cause dental problems such as gum recession, a gap in the front teeth, speech problems and inability to move the tongue. To alleviate these issues, Dr. Tien can perform a frenectomy to loosen or remove the frenulum.
